This path leads from the herb octagon down to the lower part of the
garden. A slope, rather than steps, was created here so that wheelchair access to almost the whole garden is available for visitors . Ridges of exposed aggregate run across between some of the pavers to give an anti-slip device for ambient garden users. All the paths become slippery quite regularly as the climate in this district is a wet one. Moss is removed
periodically with a power washer.
