Most people think this is the easiest part of the garden to look after but that is not necessarily so. A great deal of time is spent dissuading certain plants from taking up residence here. Colonies of dandelions constantly try to invade along with several other undesirables.
There is a very tranquil air to this part of the garden which is a pleasant contrast with the busy colours of the herbaceous border.
There had been a small lawn at this end of the garden when we took it over. There was also a privet hedge and a great deal of mint gone wild.
