The Summer House,
Rockery and Lower Pond
The Summer House or Glasshouse was probably an old pigsty. It was a ruin when we moved in and had lost its roof over fifty years before. We cleared it out and cleaned it up repairing the walls and erecting a new roof. It is double glazed so the temperature is easy to keep above freezing in the winter.

We built the rockery, pond and waterfall from scratch. The old lime-stone was a present from a local farmer who no longer wanted a rockery in his own garden. The slate for the waterfall was already in the garden. The water circulates from this pond to the top pond at the entrance and back down the waterfall.
