This part of our garden had a privet hedge running behind the wall when we arrived in 1994. Between that and the house there was grass growing through gravel.
As it is the darker side of the building we have planted gold-flecked plants to give a feeling of sunshine when there is none.
This garden marks the route to the main entrance and is the first thing visitors see on arrival. Plants are mainly evergreen to provide a welcome throughout the year.
